Even More Purses!

As I was asked by Eve from the shop "Everything Earthy" to make some more purses I decided this time to use some of the richly dyed mohair from our goats which I posted some days ago.
I patched pieces, felted the mohair, quilted some mohair, added braids, embroided some pieces with floss ribbon and then trimmed the edges with the mohair, silk and other threads and here are the results.
The felting embellisher makes the work go quite quickly and there is just no end of things to try using it.

I have a Gypsey in mind, and have two little dolls almost finished. AND the Pincushion idea....I have been "haunting" the Op Shops(we have some wonderful ones near us- I can't believe the high quality things they sell for such small prices). I have an OTT one. 2. You have caused me to examine my stash and I discovered that I don't have much of the bright colors. I guess I just didn't see the possibilities till now.

  4. Good morning Judy, JudyF and Lorna - Thank you for your kind comments. The dyed mohair gave me a good excuse to get into the felting and use some of that magenta silk which I so love.
Hope your day is going well for you!
