Next Fabric Journal Page

This page is a collage full of textural effect with very old braid, lace, taffeta, sari silk organza and some dyed mohair - once again which I truely love using. The centre piece shows a tiny elephant upon some woven silk and embroidered fabric. Binding is also of dyed silk.

  1. Really lovely old pieces that bring this all together and the little elephant. Yes, let's do rake and compost together in spirit at least! xox Corrine

  3. Thank you for your sweet compliment on my blog! It made me smile allover.
Unfortunately I don't have any digital photos of that very first quilt - have to search for them first and need to digitalize and additionally that quilt does not exist any more. One of the silks I used started to disintegrate - don't know what was wrong - so I had to cut it up entirely :(. I have the suspicion that the brocades possibly initiated that - I have no idea - maybe some chemical intolerance. Difficult to say.
