Simply Neutrals Tuesday No. 33 - St Valentine's Day Love

Dear friends - Valentine's Day has come around for yet
another year and I could not think of anything

more appropriate to share with you
this week than my love of hearts
so here are just a few
I have created over just the last 3 years or so:

Naturally you all know how much I create with
antique, vintage and even new laces

so here are just a few of the many I have created:

Some of these have been created as gifts,

 giveaways and also

for sale in my Etsy shop

Heart Cards!

All of these heart shapes cannot help but evoke
a feeling of peace and love within us
and that is why I create so many of these beautiful
creations!!!

These beads and findings were part of my"Heart Strings"
of about 4 years ago now!

A perfect heart to display those
special vintage rhinestone pieces!

A heart to hold the memories of a special loved person
in your life so simply created!

So wherever and however you celebrate
Valentine's Day - may it be of
the most joyous love
to those special people in your lives!

Simply Neutrals Tuesday No. 27 Love and Lace Hearts

Hello again dear bloggers!
I know I shared a couple of  Birthday hearts I created
about two months ago here
  with you for
but because I have had more requests to create these for sale
today I am sharing these with you too!

These are pocket hearts created from the softest recycled
vintage lace blouses

along with some beautiful antique lace, ribbon
doilies as well as new net laces also.

The pockets hold a lovely image behind which contain

a brown card tag ready for writing a message,

a wish or a greeting to someone you hold special
in your life.

I call them "Love and Lace hearts of Yesteryear"!

They have an air of romanticism, sweetness

 and old love!

They were placed in my Etsy Shop

but the only one left for sale now is the heart on
the right side of this picture below!
( Sorry but this has now sold!!!)

Now if you go to Wendy's blog by clicking on the above link

You will see many beautiful images of all things neutral inc.
creations, art, collages, architecture etc.

Enjoy this little bit of yesteryear love from me!!
and
Thank you so much for always coming to visit and
for your kind comments!

More Hearts, Hydrangeas, Home Decor and Giveaway Reminder

I was the very lucky winner of this gorgeous fabric from
(A Fine Seam)
(thank you just so much Jillayne - what a lovely thought!)

recently and loved it so much that I had to purchase more!
It inspired me to create more Hearts like these below:

adding burlap, vintage laces, an embroidered hankerchief

dyed scrim, tulle, netting

and this beautiful metal embellishment
from Liz included in an order I purchased from her
Etsy Shop - visit Liz here to see her very
French inspired Blog and then over to
her shop.

Some more beautifully green tinged hydrangeas
(originally in blue tones)
were ready for drying

as well as these ones which were originally
in pink tones
And yes - another Heart but this one is flat
and backed in chocolate coloured felt
with more burlap, vintage laces
a suffolk puff and chiffon rose
dyed seam binding, guipure lace
and scrim
And just a pic of a couple of recent trays
I purchased
which I find are so useful for a number of projects
(as well as serving cups of tea on, of course!
or the odd glass of wine!)
as well as two small metal plates.
Somehow these items of metal, wood and silver plating
with etched glass on the clock seem to co-exist
very happily together!!!!
There is just one thing else to mention
and, that is,
MY   GIVEAWAY
of a Fabric Collage

so if you would like to enter before 29th Feb.
please go to the previous post
and
leave a comment there with your email address
so that I have a way to contact you!

In the meantime,
remember that:

"happiness is a way of travel each day
and not a destination"!

xxx Suzy
