Spring is Coming and So is Some New Work

But
Firstly I would love to thank everyone of you who
has posted such heart felt and encouraging
comments over the loss of my
Dad -
and
for entering your name in my

GIVEAWAY   FOR  GRATITUDE

which will be drawn in exactly one week
Friday, 23rd Sept.
So
there is still time if you would like to enter -
Just leave your comment in the post below this one.

As we all know:

(From the Byrd's song)
There is "A time to dance, a time to mourn
To everything (turn turn turn)
There is a season (turn turn turn)
And a time to every purpose under Heaven".

So with the advent of the Spring season here where I live
on the far south coast of Australia

I have turned my muse to a new birth of creativity
in the form of a Nature Journal
which is on my table
ready for assembling.

I was so fortunate that this commission came just at the time
when I was needing the challenge
of a new project
to get back

to the place where I belong - in my studio!!!

Thank you so much Gisele

for the challenge!

Thank you also to every new follower who has joined my blog
and for the inspiring comments you have left!
It is so appreciated and gives me
a reason to continue
to fulfil my purpose
here!

  1. I LOVE Saucer Magnolias!!! They are my absolute favorites!!! (Flowering trees. Pink tulips are my fav flowers.) :) How wonderful! Being in the other hemisphere, I forget that our seasons are opposite. Here I am getting all snuggly for cooler fall weather and the leaves changing colors! I read "Spring Is Coming..." and I was all like "Wait... what?" LOL

Enjoy your Spring and time in your studio! Such beautiful work!

Love and Hugs From Atlanta, Georgia,

  17. I am so thrilled to read that you are back in your studio and immersed in such a fabulous project!!! It will be an exquisite masterpiece!!!! Your spring photos are glorious! I love fall here in VA but the spring is my favorite season. Perhaps I should have two springs each year , one in the US and pop down to Oz for a second helping!!! Wish that i could , I would definitely have to make plans to meet up!!! Keep on stitching and working with your hands - It is definitely what your dear Dad would have wanted for you - doing what you love!! Big Hugs!

  25. Hi Suzy,

Beautiful is the spring, trees wake up from sleep, are beautiful colorful,
au August autumn I started, also beautiful but rainy and cold, coz these are the laws of nature,
This poem is for you, I created it herself,

    Young leaves all enjoy:
    wind-that it swings and swaying,
-clouds that dance across the sky,
    bird-what-the-fly rubbing branches
    and green shadows
and the radius of the sun.
    Young leaves enjoy with you,
    they are young leaves.,
and you also enjoy the leaves and clapping hands,

    many hugs ........

  35. Suzy - I am so so sorry for the loss of your father. I guess I missed that while I was away on travels. I can understand your loss - certainly I have been there - but my heart breaks to know that a friend is felling such a loss.

I hope that your beautiful journal has helped to get you motivated again and to know that WE MUST go on - its hard I know - I will say a prayer for you and keep you close in my heart.

Your spring photos are magnificent - I'm hoping that the warm breezes and scent of the flowers and songs of the birds - will all help you to heal and make peace with this loss.

    Vicki
