Fabric, Fibre and Lace Art

So happy that you are here visiting today!
♥♥♥s to all!
Just recently I purchased some card stock
(which I rarely use) called "Timeless Memories"
and I thought it would make just the
right background for some new
art pieces I was wanting
to create.

I pulled out my felting machine and with some dyed felt
as a base I added several layers of bamboo cotton,
dyed scrim, lace fabric, sari ribbon, dyed
mohair along with some seam binding to create,
to the card stock which I stamped,
this little art piece
 and
then
I created another one using a sweet ballerina image

This one has some lovely raw soy silk felted
over some sari ribbon.

These are available in my Etsy shop
*** Both cards now sold***
where I do have some fabric and lace kits also for anyone
needing these to create their Fabric Lace Book/Journal
in my upcoming class over at
 http://www.creativeworkshops.typepad.com/

I will be adding more of these kits hopefully over the next few days.
♥♥♥

  4. Loving the colours on these art works, especially the first one!
I have in my stash some of the exact components in both, I really should use them on something like these two!
I went to a carboot a week ago with my Sister and made a small amount of money but, bought loads of packets of crafting stuff, beads, threads mostly from a lovely lady who was selling off her craft stash! I bought about 100 at 10pence each! There were ready made items and a kit too. I just hope I can do justice to them with my own brand of 'Art'!

  14. Suzy they are both lovely as usual. I like the way you combine all the different fibers. You will have to make more so the rest of us can have a chance of buying them.

I am so looking forward to when your class starts. I have a bag full of bits put aside as I find them.
