ReplyDeleteHi, Suzy
ReplyDeleteThank you for coming to visit my blog and photos of my doll collection.
I never dreamed I could sculpt a doll face onto a cloth doll using Creative Paper Clay...but the doll making class that Jane Des Rosier offered on her Cloth and Clay doll ning site beginning in the fall of 2008 had me thinking I just might be able to do it. And it was so richly rewarding when I made that doll...tedious work but so amazing.
I did post photos of the doll I made in her class. I do hope to make more!
Most of the dolls in my collection made by other doll makers, have a soft cloth doll body with the special technique of layering clay over the doll's head, torso, and hands and feet. If you go to Stampington.com you will see Art Doll Quarterly magazine available where many doll makers send in their dolls to be photographed for the magazine.
Have a very blessed New Year~
