Dear Friends thank you for popping into read my blog
again today and I would love to welcome my
new followers here also!
For Simply Neutrals Tuesday No. 42 this week
I'm sharing a special Birthday Card
which I made for a wonderful woman whom I met recently
and have the pleasure of sharing some morning teas with.
This is for Alice who will be celebrating her
95th Birthday at her new book launch of Short Stories
next week.
Alice is a well loved and respected woman
of our local community
and this is her third book to be published!
(I love this beautiful linen fabric with printed trees
as it is so representative of the Australian
bush land where Alice grew up!)
Such an amazing achievement at this ripe age of 95
and I have no doubt her family and friends
will be there to honour her
and
the occasion!
Come and join us over at Wen's blog to see what other articles
in neutrals you will see there this week!
Thanks Wen for hosting this party again this week for the
pleasure of so many viewers!

Hello Suzy, Your card is exquisite. How did you print the tree onto that open weave fabric? It looks amazing. I'm sure your friend will adore her card with all its vintage details.

Hi Suzy~
ReplyDeleteAlice will be enchanted! as I am too. This card is vintage gorgeous with all it's telling layers of time~ The textiles and your arrangement of them are beautiful! The stitching and textures of lace add to the beauty. Thank you for sharing this story. She must be amazing <3 Have a great week ahead~ Hugs, karen o
Suzy, that is amazing. I wish that I had you here to help me with a project that I just have in my head at the moment. On my spring trip to Oregon I purchased an old RC Victrola paper album. I am planing on using it to create an album using the circle cut out to frame a photo and then writing and creating collage around it. I want to do it on women in our family and ad their history to the pages. It sounds right up your alley . . . wish you were here :) I know that you would have some beautiful ideas for it.
ReplyDeleteawe, this is such a special and beautiful card celebrating Alice. What accomplishments she has made. Happy 95th Alice!
