Completed Journal

My Pre-Raphaelite Women Journal

is now complete.

Actually it really looks a bit more like a picture book

with pages of layering and collaging.

I'm afraid there is no room left for journalling here!

Here are the front and back pages 

I have used several tapestry fabrics here

plus laces, printed silks, and cottons.

The tassels are made from sari silk, scrim, lace and thread.

I have posted the first two inside pages here and have decided to

make a slide show of the whole journal for you to see in its completed form.

Just been quietly working along with these

This one is the inside page for the front cover

and

this page belongs to the back cover.

So my next post will show the completed

front and back pages

and

I should be able to show you the whole journal assembled.

The Journal is Growing

I do have another page for you to view

it will be the last main page before

I put together

the front, back and inside cover pages

which are on the way.

I have used 

 here some of my vintage fabric from Rajasthan, some heavy weight upholstery fabric, burnt orange printed silk, black lace, beaded fringing, Indian braids, a vintage serviette which I rust dyed and embellished with some guipure lace. 

It has quite an earthy feel to this one I think.
