"Sewing Mends the Soul" - yes it truly does!

"Sewing mends the soul" is the theme I have chosen
for this collage/wall hanging
with copper wire.
I think I have been making up for lost time over the
past few months when I could not even sew
a stitch!

I feel so blessed in being able to create again
with all of my beautiful vintage fabrics
and laces

I appreciate now, more than ever, the ability to achieve most of what
I desire to achieve each and every day since
having to sit through
such pain
while waiting for my arm and shoulder to mend.
There is very little else as precious as your good health!
♥♥♥

This little vintage sewing tag sits inside the front
of the cut lace pocket.

It is for sale in my Etsy shop
including two new French Angel greeting cards.

Along with some fine vintage lace, lace fabric
and washi tape I have used this metalic coffee colored
card with matching envelope.

I have been so busy creating I haven't been able
to respond to all of my visitors lately
so
please know that I appreciate your visits so very much
with your kind comments and I will get to you
all eventually.
This new found energy just keeps me nailed to my art table
just at present!!!!!!
I am sure you know what that's like???

Take care of one another and especially your own health too!

xox Suzy

  3. So happy that your creative abilities are back in full force and that you're loving what you're doing. We, in turn, are loving what you're doing too! As for sewing mending the soul - how true that is. I simply cannot imagine my life without being able to sew in some form or other.

  4. Totally agree with all you said in this post and love all your beautiful creations. It makes me sad when I talk to some elderly women that used to create such lovely things and do so much and now say they just aren't interested in it anymore. What happens. I worry that will happen to me some day. I'm glad you are back to your beautiful work.

  12. YES, YES, YES!!! Our health is vital to the fulness of our creativity. I too had some down time this summer... just sat on my porch swing wishing I had the energy to get back to my studio. Once the condition healed (and the healing came directly from the sitting!), like you, I feel reborn! Please, stay with your creative Muse. Read our comments, but keep on creating. You are MUSE to many! Sweet Blessings my friend! xoxo
