Vintage Inspiration Kits - Simply Neutrals Tuesday No 55

Dear friends
today I want to share a Vintage Inspiration Kit
I have put together for you.
Sometimes we wish to create little books but we don't often have
either just the right materials to combine together,
the right images or papers on hand
not to mention
the inspiration to put it all together
so to make it easy for you
I have come up with this gorgeous little book

filled with 24 pages of all sorts of media
including a doily, lace appliques, fine vintage laces, script
fabric, some of my eco-dyed silk, felt, burnout velvet, some
handmade dyed stamped pages, some water color paper dyed then stamped and stenciled with flowers, sari ribbon and a mother of pearl button.

Now of the 5 kits I created similar to the book above
(but with different images) I only have two
left and these have different images but you can choose
which ones you like from these two kits
and
they are available in my Etsy shop

♥♥♥♥
Please note as at 12.4. 19 I still have one kit
available if you wish to contact me
by email
at suziqu@tpg.com.au
♥♥♥♥

I often get requests for these sorts of Vintage Inspiration Kits
so here's your chance to acquire one.

Today I'm also linking to Wen's Simply Neutrals Tuesday party

and as Wen is taking a break it will be the last one for you
to check out for a while. So pop over and see what
neutral posts she shares with us today!

So many thanks for always visiting and welcome
to all my new followers. I hope you receive
some new inspiration here with me!
Enjoy!

Love Suzy xxx

  1. It's all so beautiful Suzy, everything I love all in one bundle. You really have thought of everything, i'm sure they will be snapped up within a heart beat. Only today I have had a delivery of a beautiful piece of Irish linen and lace and a small antimacassar with little sign of wear. How wonderful it would be if we were to have an insight into their history. Thank you for sharing with us all.

  5. Dear Suzi, nothing makes my heart quicken more than a delightful vintage inspiration kit! Like the finest treasure chests on earth, each one holds such lovely secret surprises. Yours made my heart sing, I'm only sorry I was too late to your Etsy shop to make one of them my own. Ah, perhaps another day. I was blessed with having my dear grandmother in my life until I was 56 years old. She was a collector and maker of all things pleasing to the eyes, heart and soul. During her 101st year of life, she compiled over a dozen lovely inspiration kits for me. When going through her dear Mother's home in the weeks following her death, my sweet Mama found them in a basket in Grandma's sunroom, wrapped in purple tissue paper with my name on them. I stored the tissue wrapped bundle in my cedar chest for almost 2 years before I was able to open them. The opening was bittersweet and the treasures to this day feed my soul. Suzi,a few of the treasures I found in the kits she made for me, I see in your precious and thoughtful kits...perhaps you and my darling Grandma Violet are kindred spirits. I look forward to finding more surprises in your Etsy shop. Thank you for sharing your creative and loving post.

Oh, I wanted to tell you that when I first set up my blog with Google (blogspot) they had some "canned goods' backgrounds that they offered, and I liked the sepia phot's one - so I used it. Have a nice week ahead dear friend~ karen o

  10. Suzy, I just want to say how lovely these kits are. I have now been inspired to put together a journal for my daughter, who has been bitten by the gold bug, so I will search out vintage photos of the Yukon gold rush and add some gold metallic threads and such to the embellishments. She also loves to journal and she will now have a place to document her gold panning excursions. Thank you again for all your inspiration and sharing your stash. Hugs :)

  13. I L❤️VE my kit Suzy! It’s inspired me to start creating again.
I spent several hours on Sunday sorting through my fabrics and making notes as ideas were coming together! I also watched your Peaceful and Pondering class video - more inspiration!
You have such a special gift for putting fabrics, textures and colours together, as an artist chooses his medium - I’m thinking of my favourite French artists, Monet, Cézanne and Degas. I’m always drawn to a softer palette with smokey/hazy hues,
Your blog posts are always full of inspiration dear Suzy, Now I’m also searching for autumn seeds, pods, leaves and twigs to experiment with eco dying papers and fabric!
    My cup overflows!
