I have been working on this collage now for past 2-3 weeks and happy to say that it has been completed (well at least I think!) - You know that often you want to just keep adding a bit more and a bit more but here it is!!! The collage measures 26" x 22" and the centre pot and box collection of mine has been appliqued onto some old gold taffeta which I had in my stash and the surrounding fabrics are a combination of printed satins, velvets, brocades and cottons which have been embellished with black lace, Vintage sari border fabrics and other trims with some gold beads and sequins. The outer border is part of a black and gold printed wrap with a black fringing.

Even More Purses!
As I was asked by Eve from the shop "Everything Earthy" to make some more purses I decided this time to use some of the richly dyed mohair from our goats which I posted some days ago.
I patched pieces, felted the mohair, quilted some mohair, added braids, embroided some pieces with floss ribbon and then trimmed the edges with the mohair, silk and other threads and here are the results.
The felting embellisher makes the work go quite quickly and there is just no end of things to try using it.

Dyeing our Mohair
Well - some goats have all the style in the world - give an inch and they take a mile!
Bessie, our boss nanny Angora goat took the opportunity of reclining on this garden seat which I had moved out into the paddock whilst nursing a sick kid some time back (now completely recovered) but, I must say, without these gorgeous creatures we would have none of this beautiful mohair which I dyed over the weekend. I used some of my favourite colours in the landscape dyes which turned out really vibrant. I have to say that I prefer the natural dyes but sometimes I like to use these to give rich deep colours!
