Angels at My Door Again!

In my part of the world when we should be
seeing blue skies and Australian Summer sunshine
we are experiencing
constant rain, storms, thunder and lightening
but it is warm and for that I am grateful
as
I continue to create it seems a never ending pile of
Angel greeting cards.

and quite frankly I really couldn't think of many more
things to please my heart and soul

as the exercise in choosing and manipulating fabrics
like satin, silk, chiffon and lace

keep challenging me to find an expression that is truly me

but one which is ever evolving!
Can you see how much I love texture and layering?

The subjects may often be the same but

the way in which they are incorporated into my artwork
I never tire of.

If you love angels then one of these could be yours
as they are now available in my Etsy shop.

More Christmas Greeting Cards

I hope you are enjoying these beautiful images
just as much as I am
as
I couldn't resist creating with them -
i.e. more Vintage Angels and another Madonna and Child
so more Christmas Greeting Cards are now finished
and ready for sale in my Etsy.

This card and the next card almost have a 3-dimensional
effect in the way that fabrics sit on the card
and
these soft burn out velvets and chiffon
make this possible.

I have used similar fabrics (but not the same)
in both cards

as I felt they suited the images.

They don't come in a set but they could
as they look so complementary

when you see them together.

I'm linking this post to What's It Wednesday over at
Ivy and Elephants -  you may acquire some
Christmas inspiration over there!!!
♥♥♥
Thank you all for your kind comments
I do appreciate them
and
I hope I am able to give a little inspiration back.

Some New Christmassy Items

I'm sure there are lots of bloggers as busy as myself
at the moment creating gifts for Christmas
and
these are just a few completed.
Seeing that there's still plenty of time to send a card
I've added more to my Etsy shop as these have
proved to be very popular!
Both are of the Madonna and Child - this one!

as well as this more colorful one below

I'm very fond of the beautiful textural burnout and silky velvets
used here with chiffon and vintage laces
with a couple of added stars.

I've also added this sweet little Christmas angel ornament influenced
by my reading of Jeanne d'Arc Living.

with many layers of frothy vintage laces and pearls.

For something a little different - this clutch
I created from two cut lace doilies, a linen napkin,
vintage laces, wedding lace, suffolk puff
and finishing off with
a pearl embellishment.

This would also make lovely gift for the bridesmaid
or it could accompany any wedding outfit
or even be used as a keepsake
for
those precious pieces of jewellery or special finds.

So that's it for today and I will be back soon!
So nice to be sharing all this with you.

Take care of each other and yourself too!

More Christmas Greeting Cards to Share

A very important part of Christmas
is the giving of a greeting card
and here are two more
recently finished
cards

which I have listed in my Etsy

They are actually collages of themselves
which could even be framed and

where I have used an image of Madonna and Child
sewn onto layers of sari fabric with gold thread,
scripted fabric, chiffon, black cardstock
with vintage lace
and
below here another which has even more layers of brocade fabric,
lace fabric, chiffon, velvet, sari silk ribbon,

vintage lace, netting, a fashioned rose from thread
with a vintage brass button in the centre
with the words "Rejoice"!

The two cards below were created as
"Thank You" cards  have already gone!

I couldn't resist using this dear little angel image once again

 just because I love her!
 ♥♥♥
Trusting your weekend is going as well as ours here!

Love and hugs,
Suzy
