Well as I was pulling out some of my Spring colored
fabrics and vintage laces like these
(some beautiful silk chiffons)
I thought of creating a couple of new collages using these
images of sweet vintage children
I love these images for their simple beauty
and
I turned them into these.
It didn't quite all happen with the wave of a wand
but I become so engrossed in the making
that I never noticed
where the hours went!
everyday
and hopefully they end up creating harmony.
If you think these collages could bring harmony
into your lives then you may find them
in my Etsy shop
here.

Lovely makes as always Suzie! xxx
ReplyDeleteLooking at the elements used, I realised I have a few bits in my stash the same patterns and lace! Maybe one day I'll get around to using them!
Dear Suzi, your work is just mind blowing,... and these 2 sweet collages are stunning in there colour aray and how you complement the images with your talent and knowledge of drawing out the colours from those images. Wow just stunning.

These are lovely. My favorite is 'Sweet & Kind'. The young girl's look, the colors of lace and fabric, beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYou definitely have a gift for putting all of these bits and pieces together.

Sweetness at it's best. The images are adorable and the lovely layers of all the fun laces and fabric are luscious. Have a sweet day. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteSo PRETTY, and Special!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous Suzy!
ReplyDeleteI can tell, that hours just flew ,creating these two so beautiful collages, dear Suzy. So many materials of lovely kinds, are used in both, and so much has to be tried and placed, for satisfaction. They are so sweetly filled with summer, and beautiful childhood, and the colourtones and adds, are all so wonderful pulled together.
ReplyDeleteI wish you a wonderful and happy day, my dear friend.
Hugs and kiss, from Dorthe
Oh Suzy! These are too beautiful to put into words. What a harmony of things you have put together to create this symphony my dear. I have missed too many beautiful posts here and went back to see all I had missed and was amazed, again, at the way you create beauty! I could look at these all day long!
ReplyDeleteI hope you are well my dearest. I know you are going soon into your winter and by now most of your garden is winding down and now it is time to rest from your care of it. I spend such long days in the garden working that it seems I have time for little else but that, and caring for Landon (which is the joy of my life). So, in short, I am loving life here in Idaho. I think of you so often when I'm working among the roses.
sending much love to you!
Such sweet little images to build upon (hmmm....wonder why they don't seem to have such sweet images of little boys?). I really don't know how you can give your creations up and sell them....If they were mine I would want to keep them ALL!!
ReplyDeleteYou can always take a bit of lace and fabric and make a beautiful work of art. I'm always inspired when I visit you! Sweet hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteGosh I think these little girls are my favorite thing you make -- mine that you gave me a few years ago is hanging in my powder room! I love the soft colors on these.
ReplyDeleteSo sumptuous! So many layers to sift through. Great vintage images. xox
