Another fabric Page for my journal - This was also collaged onto a very old and tattered cotton lace hankerchief (with a golden and fern green brocade fabric). The pieces here include some organza over synthetic golds, rust dyed silk, tea dyed damask linen, dyed mohair and finished with a lace motif.
This one has been partnered with the page below which I have embellished quite a bit more!I couldn't resist showing you these gorgeous Dutch Irises flowering in the early morning sun. These are some of the first flowers of Spring in our garden - AND there will be many more to come!!!
Such wonderful embellishment, so many beads and finery. Those pages look wonderful together. Thanks for sharing the irises, they are one of my
ReplyDeletefavorites too. xox Corrine
Gorgeous pages Suzy! The embellishing "bug" has bitten you!!Looks so lovely!!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you don't mind Suz, but I would like to send your blogpost out to my quilt guild. They really need to see the artfulness of journal sized quilts. You have done such a nice job on these. I am so glad I now follow your posts!
ReplyDeleteHi Corrine, Judy and Dotti - Thanks for your kindness in your comments about my journal! And Dotti I would be pleased if you would like to tell your quilt guild about my blog - it is here for everyone to view. These paages - "mini art quilts" are A4 in size and when the journal is finished I shall make a slide show of it and place it here on the blog.
ReplyDeleteBoy! Nevada must be a very hot and very cold place to live - we've just been locating you on the Atlas - it looks as if you aren't over run with big cities there!!
