Layers of Love and Labour

You might remember a few posts back I was making some pages for my fabric art journal??!!
Well here it is again, below, now larger with more embellishments and the corresponding page (just finished) has a piece of muslin in the centre which I will use for my journal notes. I was thinking that I might get a pen and hand write some notes of significance here. I haven't yet decided on a theme for the journal - I'm just seeing where it takes me! But the whole process is allowing me to try some new techniques. I have even used here a hankerchief of my mother's which i have embellished.

  1. Wow i enlarged the photo and those pages are amazing Suziqu and what a wonderful idea of using your mothers hankerchief....i cant wait to see it finished.

  2. This is lovely. I have a couple of old lace hankies that are too thin to be used as intended. Maybe I can incorporate them in my stitching. Thanks for adding so much beauty.

  3. Hi Jen and Dian - Yes Yes Yes Dian using a very old hankerchief like this actually preserves it and you can look at and appreciate it more where you can see it.
    Thanks for lovely comments!

  4. LOVE all you journal pages, So rich and beautiful! Like the flowers on your blog too :)

  5. I found your blog today and love it! Your fabric creations are divine. Each one is quite unique and wonderfully detailed. Just perfect!

Thank you so very much for stopping here to say hello and to see what I have been creating. I really treasure each and everyone of you for your comments. It is so appreciated....Suzy
