Making Christmas Cards

This really beautiful hand painted cotton from Lorraine at Creative Daily was the inspiration
for these Christmas Cards and I have used it in several cards now.  The colours are of a buttery yellow and muted greens.  I will be sad I think when it runs out.  So often the fabric is what gets my creative juices running.  The other materials I have used are some paper bark from our wetland and Wild Cherry both from our property.

  2. How unique! I love what you've created, incorporating stars and sayings into your cards. So much texture and warmth. And certainly not the usual red and green glitter. Lovely.

  4. Suzy, I'm so excited to see you've already used some of the fabric. These cards are fantastic - love all the textures and colour combinations. This fabric is one of my hand dyes followed by discharge and must admit, is a favourite of mine also.

  5. WOW your Christmas cards are fabulous... those would be "keepers" long after the Holidays have ended! Thanks for stopping by my Post, yes, those lacey numbers appealed to me too... the Grape one and a Beige one with a faded Pink colored Velvet Rose.

you are already formulating ideas for some Valentines Cards while your tools (hands) are in recovery mode. Cheers to you all!

  11. Lovely cards, beautiful fabric: I too find that fabrics trigger a whole stream of creativity. It is extra exciting if the fabric is a gift from someone special.
