Do your often wonder what would be a good way
to store all of your smaller lengths of lace
like this?
Well this is just one solution that I have come up with
and of course it is made from a lace tray cloth too!
It is a wrap/folder/holder
which has been divided into two rows of 4 pockets
with make a total of 8 pockets.
It therefore holds 8 cardboard spools or reels
which I have gessoed and stamped with
a shabby chic style flourish
and
it folds up like this
I've tried to leave plenty of room for expansion too!
The back looks like this below
and it folds up (front and back below)
to look like this
It has been a little mind challenge but I am happy
with the result and am pleased to say
that I've added it to my
♥♥♥
I also have more reels (unpainted) if anyone should need more.
Now I'd be interested to hear how everyone else
stores their laces.
This wrap makes it very portable to take anywhere
when working on smaller projects.
Love and hugs,
Suzy
Oh, I love your lace organizer, dear Suzy. So very beautiful and the cards are so pretty as well. That would make a lovely gift. Have a wonderful week.

Such a beautiful way to organize beautiful laces! I'm ashamed to say that mine are all mish-mashed into a plastic tote. Shameful, I know!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful storage idea Suzy! My lace is a mess. I just throw it all into a plastic bin!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea!!!!! You're a genius, ya know?
ReplyDeleteI store my laces (and ribbons, too) in plastic see-thru boxes. Where'd I get the boxes, you ask? They used to house cookies from Sam's Club. Yeah ... I have lots of those containers. And the extra pounds that were accumulated by eating all the cookies.
Happy lace-ing!

What a lovely idea!
ReplyDeleteHi Suzy, this is just gorgeous and useful at the same time. Great idea to be beautiful while holding all the pretty laces we collect. Great gift idea too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your inspiring talents.
Hugs, CM
Beautiful and I have to say my lace is on plastic winding things and in a clear plastic tub not near this pretty but fun to look at yours and just tell my lace see if you weren't here in Texas with me you could be displayed beautiful. Sorry lace. :( oxox
ReplyDeleteClever and beautiful too, a lovely project!
ReplyDeleteThat is a gorgeous way to store your lace, Suzy! I have a decorative over-the-door holder with 10 faux crystal hangers, and my laces hang both from the knobs, as well as on the metal supports between the hangers. It has a double row of crystal knobs, so lots of area for hanging my lace. This way, I get to see it whenever I'm in my art room, and I don't have to worry about creases.
ReplyDeleteGreat lace organizer dear. You executed your vision very well. Creative Lace Bliss...
ReplyDeleteWhat a brilliant idea - and so beautifully executed! It's just gorgeous Suzy!
ReplyDeleteWow Suzy, you are so clever. It's gorgeous, and all that thinking will likely keep the dementia at bay!
ReplyDeleteOh, Suzy!
ReplyDeleteYour lovely lace holder is so elegant. I put my ribbon-type laces on vintage spools, wrapping the laces around the spools like thread on a spool. Then I use a straight pin to secure the lace at the ends. It's very easy to find which laces I want to use, as they are in my glass-door studio cabinet as they are all in rows for easy access.
