Hello dear friends!
It seems forever since I posted something to share
but I have been pre-occupied in creating
a custom order for a fabric journal
which I hope to share with you
in the near future
however
in the meantime I just wanted to show you
these glorious roses while they are
still lasting in our garden
as Autumn approaches.
Sadly these images are mostly grainy
for some reason and I was unable to locate my edited photos
So here we are - sometimes things don't go just as we plan
as what happens in real life
nonetheless you get the idea of just how amazing
this Pierre de Ronsard rose is
and coupled with these laces
it as if they were meant to go together!
I have been asked about the growth habit of this gorgeous rose
so I have posted a couple of images.
As you can see it is a climber (not too rampant)
and has a very soft fragrance. It dries well,
holds it shape well
but fades in color after a few weeks.
The bud is a very pale white to pink color
with a tinge of green around the edges
and that is what makes it so
beautiful!
♥♥♥
So enjoy for now and I shall be back soon!
I hope your week is going well!
Be kind to yourself and those
you love!
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit
and to all those who sent gifts and wishes
to me for my recent Birthday - bless you!
xoxSuzy♥♥♥
The photos are kind of romantic with the graininess!
ReplyDeleteDo the roses have much of a perfume and are they shrub or climbers?
As you say, they look good paired with the laces.

Beautiful! Roses are romantic. I rarely see them here where I live in Puerto Rico. Maybe I should try growing some. I did not know you had a recent birthday. My birthday was February 24, so I am wondering when yours was. Peace and Blessings My Dear Friend

Beautiful photos.Pink are my favorite. While you are approaching autumn, our spring is stuck on hold. We are having an ice storm. A good day to catch up. Thanks for the lovely post, it made coffee break extra special.

Thank you for sharing a little of your Summer with those of us shivering through Winter. The roses are beautiful and I can almost smell them!
ReplyDeleteSuzy, those roses are spectacular, they don't even look real in some shots, just beautiful. It always throws me a little when I read "autumn" in your post. I forget you are down under..Happy Tuesday to you..Judy
ReplyDeleteMy Dear Suzy,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing your beautiful roses. I'm still here quietly following your wonderful blog and glorious creations. There have been several occasions where I've gone to your etsy page to purchase and the item has gone. This just shows the wonderful quality and popularity of your lovely fabric plays.
If the roses were on etsy I'd love some for my garden! I will have to keep an eye out for the name as they are so glorious. Thank you again for sharing.
Hugs and best wishes

ReplyDeleteYour roses are stunning dearest Suzy, so soft and beautiful looking.
ReplyDeleteTogether with the old laces they makes me get gorgeous pictures in my head, of beautiful ladies in silken gowns ,walking their gardens filled with the lovely fragrance and beauty of the roses.

the roses are a lovely sight--especially since we are buried under snow and having a colder then normal winter. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteIncredible beauty this rose is dear Suzy! The blooms are huge aren't they? I can only imagine how fragrant they are too. The soft pink of the blooms makes it every lovelier.
